WOLF-3184 DAL-C
Overview

DO-254 DAL-C FGX2 Video I/O XMC
The XMC-FGX2-VIO-DO254 module provides a high data-rate, high-density video capture and transmit platform using WOLF's second-generation FGX2 frame grabbing technology. FGX2 is an HD-capable digital and analog frame grabber with video conversion and transmit capability built on AMD/Xilinx Kintex UltraScale+ FPGA technology.
The WOLF-3184 DAL-C is developed in compliance with RTCA DO-254 Design Assurance Level C for aviation safety-critical applications. It is suited for machine vision, sensor processing, and low-latency video I/O in harsh environments where SWaP is constrained.
The module can be paired with an NVIDIA GPU module to enable low-latency peer-to-peer communication and reduce host CPU overhead when large volumes of video data must be captured, converted, and processed.
Block Diagram
The block diagram shows the FGX2 FPGA connected to XMC P16 for video and serial I/O, including 4x SDI inputs, 4x SDI outputs, 2x DisplayPort inputs with MST support, one RGsB input path, and 2x RS422. It also shows the PCIe Gen3 x4 host interface through XMC P15 plus board-level support functions such as configuration flash, temperature sensor, voltage regulation, FRU, and JTAG.
